Dr. Jordan B. Eaton is a graduate of Campion College and the University of the West Indies Mona, where he completed his medical training in 2014. Subsequently, he completed Junior and Senior House officer years at the University Hospital of the West Indies and with the Kingston & St. Andrew Health Department. Developing a passion for Psychiatry, he worked as a Mental Health Officer at the Kingston Public Hospital for 2 years, specializing in treating multiple psychiatric conditions on open general medical wards. During this time, he became a research fellow at the Caribbean Institute on Mental Health and Substance Abuse (CARIMENSA) and returned to UHWI for residency, which he completed in June 2023. He now serves as a Senior Registrar with the St. Catherine Health Department.

Dr. Eaton has also contributed to several published papers in the last year, focusing on the use of Psychedelic Mushrooms in the treatment of Psychiatric conditions within the Jamaican context. Additionally, he is the recipient of prizes for Best Poster Presentation, Best Student Presentation, and Most Impactful Poster Presentation at the National Health Research Conference 2023, on “The patterns of referrals to the Consultation Liaison Psychiatric Service at a general hospital in Kingston, Jamaica.”
